Dear Mr. Wilson:
I was delighted to learn that my student, Charles Guo, is interviewing with Becker, Iger, and Goldman. If your law firm is looking for exceptional analytical talent and a true team player, you could not make a better choice than Charles.
As you know, prior to attending Harvard Law School, Charles graduated summa cum laude from Princeton University, where he majored in political science. During the three summers that he was at Princeton, Charles worked for a legal aid office in Newark, New Jersey. Although he was not an attorney, his supervisors relied upon him for his analytical insight and commitment to equal justice under the law. While at Harvard, Charles has been an outstanding student.
A recent Harvard Law School projects illustrates Charles’ unique blend of skills. During a project designed to enable a prisoner to obtain a new trial, Charles, who joined this project later than the other team members, independently reviewed the extensive case file. Based on his analysis, he recommended that the team engage a DNA expert from the Netherlands. By doing so, the team was able to reverse a lower court ruling and secure a new trial for the prisoner. Even so, Charles did not take credit but, instead, attributed the team’s success to a joint effort.
Bottom line, Charles would be an excellent addition to your firm. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me.
Best regards,
